Hello!!!

I am Mohammad Ashraful Huda. I am born in Chittagong, Bangladesh. I have completed the basic photography course from Pathshala -"South Asian Institute of Photography", and an advance photography course from "Photoart Institute". Currently I am working in Photobank Gallery, a stock photo agency in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Photography is a passion for me where I illustrate my soul intention.

My Interest
1) Tribal Life :
I am fascinated by the hilly beauty of my country. The hills, its native and their rich culture which is filled with the hard labour touch my feelings. I would like to photographs the daily life of these hilly people.

2) Handicapped Children : The handicapped people and the children are often considered to be a burden for the family. And there are only few treatment centers available in our country. Though some of them with proper training are doing very well in their life and they are now considered as differently able children. I would like to see how they are living and trying to overcome the adverse situation.

3) Shipbreaking : Chittagong’s ship breaking is very popular for providing almost 80% of the steel requirement in Bangladesh. A huge ship is cut down to pieces by hundreds of workers in this demolishing factory. If I could get an access, I would like to see the lives of these workers and how they are working to break down a giant ship.

My Interest

1) Girls Madrasha :
Madrassa education system is very old in our country. Arabic is one of the first lessons in the childhood which all Muslim boys and girls take in their life. Due to the conservativeness in our muslim culture many parents didn’t want to send their children to the co-education especially girls. Today in the Madrassa, girls are receiving general education with modern education facilities along with the Quaranic education. I want to take photographs of today’s Madrassa education along with the thinking and dreams of these girls who study there.

2) Women Working in garments & textile :
Ready made garments and textile industry is the most vital factor in the export sector of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is earning high revenue from this sector. Majority of the worker in this industry are women and they are working very hard along with the men. I want to take photographs of these hard working invisible women who are helping with their hard labour to raise up their families and to build up our country’s economy.

3) Housewife :
I want to see the daily life of the house wife in the middle and poor class family. I want to photographs how they live and what they feel about their life.

My ideas :
War Refugees Biharis :
More than 3 million Biharis stranded in Bangladesh during liberation war in 1971. Although the urdu speaking Biharis are citizen of Pakistan, and wanted to move back in Pakistan after the independence of Bangladesh, but were suck due to complication in the repatriation process and political dilemma. Bihari community lives in many different camps or place known as Bihari camp at many places in Bangladesh. After more then 40 years Bangladesh government allowed them to be Bangladeshi citizen and they became voter for the first time in 2008. I am interested on how this changes affecting their lifestyle in those Bihari camp.

Tribes in hill Tracts:
There are many groups of tribe’s lives in hill tracts of Chittagong. The rituals, culture and lifestyle is different to one group to another. I would like to show the lifestyle of indigenous tribes living in hill tracts.
